Nancy Flanagan Kelly, MS Ed, MA, LAPC

Nancy brings a wealth of experience from her work in schools, higher education, and community mental health agencies. Nancy has a master's degree in education and a strong background in teaching and school counseling, as well as holding a second master’s degree in clinical counseling. Nancy is passionate about supporting both teens and adults, especially those recovering from trauma and addictions.

Her expertise extends to helping individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and life transitions, while she is particularly dedicated to empowering women and the LGBTQ+ community. Nancy believes in the importance of authenticity and strives to create a safe space for everyone to explore their true selves.

Using a variety of therapeutic modalities, Nancy is especially interested in supporting her clients using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies, Internal Family Systems (IFS) processes — informally known as “parts work” — and somatic techniques, which allow people to connect the mind and body in order to heal. Nancy also embeds Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) strategies into her counseling, to help clients explore their personal values to guide their daily actions and life decisions. Utilizing a person-centered, holistic, and eclectic approach to counseling, Nancy believes in tailoring therapy to the individual. Additionally, Nancy emphasizes the significance of the counselor-client relationship as a foundation for healing and growth.
